If you think facial oils will make your skin greasy, clog pores and make you break out, you’re not alone. It’s a common misconception. But the truth is, oil dissolves oil. Plant oils protect the skin's acid mantle—a thin film on the surface of the face that regulates microflora and helps rebuild and maintain the skin's lipid barrier. Crafted in small batches, our lightweight facial serums and moisturizers are made with a balanced combination of fruits, seeds, flowers, and nuts to produce a serum that deeply penetrates and feed tissues from the inside out. A few drops are all you’ll need.
FREE OF TOXINS. FULL OF GOODNESS.
Our bodies are permeable. Studies have shown that skin, our largest organ, can absorb up to 60% of what it comes into contact with. What goes on, goes in. This is why personal care products should be as fresh and wholesome as the food we eat. Yet many product lines require preservatives that are linked to breast cancer (parabens), or add synthetic additives that can cause skin discoloration (fragrance), contribute to immune system toxicity (formaldehyde), disrupt hormones (phthalates), and irritate eyes and scalp (sodium laurel sulfate). That’s scary. Our botanical skincare is handcrafted in small batches using the highest quality organic and ethically foraged plants we can find.
Borage: Also known as Star Flower, borage seed oil is the richest known source (24%) of an essential fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which helps maintain healthy skin and repair tissue damage. Its soothing and moisturizing properties are excellent on dry and sensitive skin. Most helpful for dry, mature, and aging skin. **
Baobab: Cold pressed from the seeds of the fruit that blooms on Baobab trees often referred to as the Tree of Life due to its nutrient-dense fruit, baobab oil contains more antioxidants than any other fruit on Earth. With high amount of vitamin C, this rejuvenating oil absorbs quickly and is an aid to premature skin, scars, or fine lines. **
Seabuckthorn: This berry also has as much Vitamin E as wheat germ, three times more Vitamin A than carrots, and four times more superoxide dismutase, an important enzyme that helps prevent free radical damage, than ginseng. The Fruit oil contains the EFA (Essential Fatty Acid) Omega 6 and, perhaps more significantly, the rare and highly sought- after Omega 7 fatty acid. Research indicates that Omega 7 supports and soothes the skin and mucous membranes. It also assists in skin repair and cell regeneration. **
